Local action to make Oriole Parkway at Oxton Avenue a safe corner for pedestrians! Our thanks go to Councillor Michael Walker for all his help!

Mk has lived in the neighbourhood for over ten years. Mk has taken up the challenge on behalf of local residents to do what ever he can to prevent a serious pedestrian accident at the corner of Oxton Avenue and Oriole Parkway. Over the past ten years traffic has grown on Oxton Avenue from manageable to outright dangerous. Recent road configuration changes to enhance the free flow of traffic on Oxton Avenue (or Highway 11A) have made the situation, even worse. Mk invites you, as a pedestrian in our neighbourhood to make your safety concerns known by posting your comments, experiences or stories to this site. Let the City, elected officials and your neighbours know that you too share the same concern for your own personal safety and the safety of our local pedestrians as I do when crossing the Oxton “Freeway.”
